Enio Pérez (Guatemala) has had the chance to take part of the Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management after winning the TV Show Desafío Culinario in his country, Guatemala
EUHT StPOL has interviewed Enio Pérez, the chef who won the television contest Desafío Culinario Guatemala (Culinary Challenge). And the thing is that living a #stpolexperience was the prize given by the show.
He enrolled in the module Innovation and Creativity in Cooking of the Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management. According to his own words, the best part of the experience was “getting to know a new place and learn techniques in order to apply them in the Guatemalan cuisine.”.
What advice would you give to future chefs?
“I think that reading and studying is fundamental since a great part of our gastronomy is based in the history of our country. Once you acquire the basic knowledge, you have to venture into the world of cooking”.
