EUHT StPOL and the Consortium of Tourist Promotion “Costa del Maresme” have created a Scholarship to promote Hospitality Management studies
30 March, 2017José Antonio Rodríguez, a student of the Master’s in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management, has been the winner of the first edition of the national contest of cooking schools Protur Chef, Mallorca 2017.
The competition took place between 17 and 19 March at Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa in Sa Coma, where chefs of national and international prestige have attended.
The competition Protur Chef has hosted students of the School of Hospitality of the Balearic Islands (EHIB), IES Puig de Sa Font, IES Alcúdia, IES Juníper Serra and Amadip Esment School of Mallorca; Of Barcelona, EUHT StPOL; School of Tenerife of the Canary Islands; School of Hospitality of Extremadura; CIFP Carlos Aroza of Galicia; And Superior Center of Hospitality Mediterranean of Jaén.
The CEO of Protur Hotels has expressed the intention to continue this contest that was born following a talk with the Catalan chef Ferran Adrià.
In the event they have offered the best recipes of the great promises of gastronomy in Spain in the gastronomic contest.
The contest has consisted in the elaboration of a recipe based on Majorcan black pig in which it was indispensable to combine sirloin and the ribs, as well as a list of ingredients they had to add and the essential personal seal that each contestant made.
