Summer course of hotel and restaurant management, cuisine and gastronomy
The University College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts Sant Pol de Mar (EUHT StPOL) (Barcelona) offers two summer courses that can be enroled by students with bachelors in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration or Gastronomy.
The structure and class load of noth is exactly the same, while the contents are different.
Courses with specializations in:
- Hotel and restaurant management.
- Cuisine and Gastronomy.
Duration: 2 weeks.
Language: Spanish/English (depending on the dates selected).
Schedules:
- 48 class hours from Monday to Thursday
- 12 hours of professional visits on Fridays
Total course: 60 class hours.
The study plan includes theoretical classes, practical classes and professional visits to hotels, restaurants, wineries, investigation centers, etc.

Theoretical – practical class in the sensorial analysis room with wine tastings.
Destination Management (only for the address of hotels and restaurants)

Introduction to molecular cuisine (only for Cuisine and Gastronomy)
Theoretical – practical class in the sensorial analysis room with wine tastings.
European gastronomic culture (only for Cuisine and Gastronomy)
Theoretical class.
- Visit to the winery Alta Alella: Visit to the vineyards, presentation of products, Wine Tasting.
- Visit to Barcelona: Visit to the market La Boqueria, visit to the Ham museum and Iberian ham tasting, Gourmet lunches with wine pairing.
- Certificate of taking the course with grades for each subject.
- Many universities validate the credits for the course hours depending on the grades obtained.
The staff is comprised by:
- Operations teachers, at a theoretical and practical level.
- Industry professionals: consultants, restaurant managers and chefs of international prestige.
The requirements for accessing this program are:
- To be a student of a technical or university program and the completion of the first year.
- Successfully pass a personal interview with an academic responsible head.
- Speak one of the languages of the course (English or Spanish).
