24 October, 2019Former students of EUHT StPOL add up to 8 Michelin stars
21 November, 2019Taking an Erasmus is always an experience full of moments to remember, and even more so if you share an event with the actor George Clooney, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and leading business experts, leaders and thinkers. This was the case of Pilar Artacho and Daniel Úbeda, students in the last year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at EUHT StPOL, who during their Erasmus at Haagga-Helia University in Helsinki (Finland) participated in The Nordic Business Forum 2019, the most important business meeting in the Nordic countries.
“On the occasion of our stay in Helsinki to pursue an Erasmus, Haaga-Helia University offered us the possibility to participate in The Nordic Business Forum 2019 by volunteering in two Customer Service teams: Check-in and Seminar Hall, performing different activities such as identifying customers or showing the corresponding seat to VIP customers,” they explain.
In order to participate in The Nordic Business Forum 2019, the students who presented themselves had to go through a selection process, after a personal interview. And that’s how Pilar Artacho and Daniel Úbeda, students of the University College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts of Sant Pol de Mar (EUHT StPOL) were part of the team of The Nordic Business Forum on October 9th and 10th, a meeting that brings together the world’s leading experts and speakers to share their knowledge, experiences and success stories among attendees.
The tenth edition of The Nordic Business Forum has focused on growth through marketing, innovation and leadership and has featured speakers such as actor George Clooney, the founder of Zuckergerg Media, Randi Zuckerberg or Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple.
“The conference has been very interesting from a professional and personal point of view; we are very pleased to have been chosen to participate in this event and have been able to show the excellence in the training received by EUHT StPOL”, conclude Pilar and Daniel.
