Mario Castrellón gets number 20 on the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list

The Maito Restaurant of the EUHTStPOL’s alumni Mario Castellón, remains on the prestigious list Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017

Last October 25th was held in Bogota, Colombia, the annual Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017 edition, which recognizes the best restaurants in Latin American countries of the year.

In the edition of last year, held in Mexico City, we received the good news of the entry on the list of our ex-student Mario Castrellón. His Maito restaurant, located in Panama, slipped into the 36th place being the only one of Panamanian cuisine and sounding strong in national and international media.

This year, we are pleased to tell you that Restaurante Maito has remained on the list and has risen to number 20!

From the Hotel-School of Sant Pol de Mar we are very proud of the achievements made by Mario Castrellón, student of the 2004 promotion of the Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Service.

Congratulations for these great results, Mario!

But the successes of the alumni of EUHTStPOL are also among the students of the Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management. Óscar Mayer, for example, was a student of the aforementioned Master’s Degree and is currently part of the kitchen team of the Disfrutar Restaurant, also listed in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
