Yesterday September 26th, 2016 was held in Mexico City the annual gala of Latin Americas’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 edition, where are selected the best restaurants of the year in Latin America.
Maito restaurant (Panama), property of Mario Castrellón chef, alumni of Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Service in 2004, has been included for first time in the prestigious list, ranked in 36 place and being the only restaurant in Panama.
While the name of Mario Castrellón sounds strong in the international media, regarded as a young chef who drives a part of the movement that is turning the new Panamanian cuisine, leading the Maito Restaurant in addition of Café Unido, Mansa, Tacos la Neta and Boánica.
From the Hotel School Sant Pol de Mar we are delighted to see the success of the students who have passed through our classrooms. This year we celebrate 50 years and have reported fifty cases of successful alumni in the book 50 success stories: fifty years shaping leaders in hospitality, where one of them is Mario.
