And it is also the first week of classes for students who begin the Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Service. To the students who have already started the introductory module of the Master in Hospitality Management are added this week the students who start the Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. For them, this is the first week of the new academic year in at the University College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts of Sant Pol de Mar (EUHT StPOL), center affiliated to the University of Girona. This is also the first week for students who start the Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Service.
Here are three facts from the 2019-20 academic year that now begins in EUHT StPOL.
More than 200 students in one of the smallest campuses in Spain
Apart from the students of the Bachelor’s Degree and the Technical Degree, next week EUHT StPOL will receive the students who in 2019-2020 will take one of the three masters that are offered: the Master in Hospitality Management, the Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management and its Spanish version, Máster en Artes Culinarias y Dirección de Cocina.
In total, EUHT StPOL will count this 2019-2020 academic year with more than 200 students attending class at one of the university campuses that is probably among the smallest in the entire Spanish State.
Student from around the world
Taiwan, France, Italy, USA, Georgia, Greece, Chile, Lebanon, Russia, India… These are just some of the home countries of EUHT StPOL students. In total, the list of countries of origin adds this course 2019-20 more than 30 different nationalities, a fact that gives EUHT StPOL a strong international character.
One of the 20 best universities in the world in hospitality and leisure management
This year EUHT StPOL has been ranked among the 20 best universities in the world in the area of hospitality and leisure management, according to the international ranking of universities published by QS. In fact, EUHT StPOL has benn ranked in the 19th position and it is the only hospitality and leisure management university school in Spain with accreditation of studies governed by the Spanish university system that is part of the top 20 of this ranking.
