The best chefs, in EUHT StPOL
Surely, many students from different EUHT StPOL years will remember having shared experiences and knowledge with chefs who are now considered the bests in the world. For example, Oriol Castro, exbulli and one of the three chefs who lead restaurant Disfrutar in Barcelona with two Michelin stars, has come to teach a masterclass, on more than one occasion, to students of the Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management.
In addition, Disfrutar, considered in 2019 as the 9th world’s best restaurant by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, is an internship destination for students from different academic programs of EUHT StPOL. In fact, some EUHT StPOL Alumni are now part of their team, such as Oscar Mayer, current head chef of Disfrutar.
The relationship between El Celler de Can Roca and EUHT StPOL also has several connection points. The chef Joan Roca, considered among the world’s bes, has chaired the Young Cooking Contest of Catalonia organized in the Hotel-School of Sant Pol de Mar; and its three starred Michelin restaurant, El Celler de Can Roca, is and has been a recurring visit destination for EUHT StPOL students.
From EUHT StPOL we want to congratulate all the award-winning chefs.
